Hospitality Team Sign-up

Important Dates:

December 16th – Zoom Planning Meetings

January 20th/ 27th – Practice and Prop Making at Fairview Park Day

Friday, February 11th – Shakespeare Showcase

Group Coordinator Responsibilities (7 needed):

  • (We need a minimum of 7 group coordinators, which is 1 per group, but ideally we would love 2 coordinators for the Form 1 groups and possibly even 2 for the form 2 groups. Please add your name in the yellow slot of your choice.)
  • Attend group zoom meeting on December 16th – take note of parts for each student. Rebekah or Melissa will be in each meeting to help guide and give further instruction for the showcase.
  • Here is a link to a summary of each scene. Read and be familiar with scene or (scenes). Some groups have multiple scenes as options. These scenes are very short. Students only need to select one scene, however we ask that the coordinator has some familiarity with these scenes to remind the students of what is happening.
  • January 20th/27th – Help coordinate and keep group on track during practice.
  • Shakespeare Showcase Day – assist your group to be ready with props for their scene.
  • All questions can be directed to Melissa

Hospitality Coordinator Responsibilities (2 needed):

  • Budget will be given for food, paper goods, and consumable needs.
  • Coordinators will be responsible for overseeing and setting up a team to facilitate purchasing supplies, set-up, and clean-up.
  • All questions for can be directed to Rebekah.

Student Responsibilities:

  • Attend December 16th meeting (if unable to attend, let coordinator know if a speaking part is desired or not and a role will be assigned). During the meeting the students will pick what characters they would like to be and decide how much of the scene will be acted out. Lines will be decided upon by the group. If a student does not want to have speaking lines, they can help with props, make props, be a prop, or be a part of a tableau with others in their group. This will all be decided during the zoom meeting.
  • Students with speaking parts need to either memorize lines or practice reciting lines during the Christmas break. Students making props can start at home during the break.
  • Attend practice on January 20th/27th. Students need to practice scene and work on bringing scene to life. Simple props can also be made on this day. Supplies need to be brought.
  • February 11th – Be ready to bring Twelfth Night to life.

Family Responsibilities:

  • Help your kiddos be prepared for their responsibilities on various dates and meetings.
